About the Author
Karen Dorfman, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., has provided post-trauma counseling to patients and their families for over ten years. As a medical social worker, she has counseled patients at hospitals and kidney dialysis centers, and served as a member of a home hospice team. She has led stress management workshops for caregivers, hospital employees, and students of all ages. Karen received her M.S.W. degree from U.C.L.A. in 1988.
